Take Nothing
In Mark 6 Jesus sends his disciples out on mission. His instructions . . .
1) Don't go alone, go in twos (a good model for us, don't do mission alone)
2) Take Nothing, no food, not extra clothes, no money, no bag, (you can have your staff though)
Imagine recruiting for a mission trip like that. Basically count on the hospitality of the place you are going to survive, if not leave and go elsewhere.
Of course our culture is different today, hospitality in America is a lost art. But I think a mission trip like that would make you pray a lot more, and practice faith more.

Maybe for our next Mexico Outreach with the students I will just put the word "Nothing" on it.
Will the parents still let them go?
I think you mean "no extra clothes"
Can you say, "fired"?
Yeah, clothes . . . Thanks.
