There is no command greater than this
Mark 12 says there is no command greater than these. To love God, and love others.
Why do we feel the need to be right instead of loving? Being right isn't as important than being loving.
We are told to be holy . . . But being loving is a greater command, a higher calling. Or maybe a better way to say it is we can't be holy without being loving.
Love isn't always a warm soft fuzzy feeling, sometimes it is hard, rough, but it always draws you closer to God: for God is love.
"If I have ALL knowledge, but have not love I am nothing!"
"If I can fathom ALL prophecy . . . surrender my body to the flames . . . but have not love, I gain nothing."

You're right about love not being easy. Being angry and short with people is so much easier. I stand convicted.
