Courage part 2
In the next chapter of Acts (21) God sends a prophet to Paul. The prophet takes Paul's belt, bind himself and says, "The Holy Spirit says, 'In this way the Jews of Jerusalem will bind the owner of the belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.'" Upon hearing this, those with Paul tried to talk him out of going to Jerusalem.
Paul's response, "Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."
He went to Jerusalem and was bound by the Jews . . .
I am touched by Paul's passion and courage. I think of areas in my life that I have been less than courageous, and it makes me want to push through my fears when I am confronted with a choice that I believe in.
In my study on the gospel and the kingdom of God, I am coming to see courage and an essential attribute.

Jon, I wonder if C.S. Lewis has it right: Courage is not a virtue but every virtue (attribute?) at the testing point.
That's good!
