Family Camp-Out
A tradition that has lasted over 20 years . . . our family camp-out. We camp at Lake Siskyou, which is beautiful and has a wonderful view of Mt. Shasta. Every year is a bit of a different crowds as some years members of the family are unable to come. Last year I missed as I was in Honduras. But I was excited to go this year.
Here is a photo of the family right before we took a hike.
Lynsey and I went on a 12 mile run while down there, to try to keep our miles up. It was hot, and had a little less oxygen as we were about 3500 ft. But all things considered we did surprisingly well.
Below is a couple of pictures I took of Stellar Jay's who were looking for a hand out.
While I didn't get to many pictures of the Mountain this year, I did get one as night was falling. It is hard to see on this page as the picture is so small. But if you click on it, you can see the stars shining over the mountain. I have always been fascinated by stars. It was fun to be able to capture their light next to a mountain I love.
