Matt 6
Though in this chapter it seems that all of this refers to how God desires us to live in his Kingdom, in the midst of that we have 2 specific references to the Kingdom.
The first is in the context of prayer. We are told to pray "your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." God desires us to pray in His kingdom.
The second place is verse 33. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well." God's kingdom is the thing that we should be seeking first. His kingdom and righteousness. They work together and are companions on the same journey.

"All these things" - the things Jesus has just mentioned: Food and clothing.
We all have jobs so that we can make money, so that we can have "all these things." These are good things, but God knows that we need them. He wants us to live out His purposes first; seek out what is going on in His plan, and He will give us what we need.
Often though, I put work before what is going on in God's Kingdom. Putting paperwork and my schedule before talking to someone who needs it.
Here is a question . . . What of people in poverty in nations of poverty that are seeking God's Kingdom first, do they all have food and cloths?
I have some thoughts but I thought I would post the question, thoughts?
